Cicada Therapy Launches Support Groups
A growing number of people are seeking connection, understanding, and practical support—and in response, Cicada Therapy is launching a new suite of group offerings designed to meet people where they are. Grounded in the belief that isolation fuels emotional pain, these groups provide a space where individuals can feel less alone, process challenges safely, and experience the healing power of shared experience. Whether someone is navigating a major life transition or simply looking for deeper connection, these groups aim to create meaningful, supportive environments.
The program includes a diverse range of topics tailored to real-life struggles and experiences. Current offerings include: Eating Disorders, Online and Video Game Addiction, Coping with a Conspiracy Theorist Partner, Divorce Support, Support for Seniors, Understanding the Enneagram, Imposter Syndrome, For Men Navigating the Dating World, and For Women Navigating the Dating World. Each group is designed to foster honest conversation, emotional growth, and mutual support, while being guided either by trained group leaders or licensed clinicians depending on the format.

Cicada offers two types of groups to ensure accessibility and flexibility. Support Groups are led by Cicada-trained facilitators, are private pay, and cost $25 per session, while Therapy Groups are clinician-led, may be covered by insurance, and cost $50 per session for private pay. Support groups can include up to 30 participants with flexible attendance, while therapy groups are smaller (up to 10 people) and closed to maintain continuity and trust. All groups meet weekly for 90 minutes and are held remotely via Zoom, making it easier than ever to access consistent, meaningful support.
